FAQs

Can i have sessions both in person and face to face?

Yes absolutely! We will try to make the sessions as tailored to you as possible. Providing I can fit it in around other bookings. Some clients like to try both ways to see which way they feel most comfortable.

DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY IF I NEED TO MAKE A CANCELLATION?

Providing there is 24 hours notice no payment is needed.

HOW LONG ARE PEOPLE NORMALLY IN THERAPY FOR?

This all depends on the individual and the reasons they choose to start counselling. It is not down to the therapist to choose it is normally the choice of the client.

Do i need to commit to a certain amount of sessions?

No, sessions are pay as you go and you are free to choose how often you would like to book in.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSON-CENTRED AND CBT?

Both forms of therapy look to address the issues the individual comes with. A PC therapist believes the client is the expert, whereas CBT works with the belief that the therapist is the expert therefore is a more directive approach. CBT tends to only focus on the present, whereas PC allows focus wherever the client leads.

Person-centred therapy works with the objective of helping the client to trust themself and how they feel, processing difficult and negative emotions, helping confidence to establish and grow.
